FC Bayern: Shock about Kane

Bayern Munich may have to fear the loss of their top scorer Harry Kane. The Englishman limped off the field after just 33 minutes in the top game at Borussia Dortmund (1-1). When the score was 0-1, striker Thomas Müller came into the game.

It was initially not clear what exactly had happened. Kane had sat down on the ground and indicated that he could not continue playing.

“It looks like a muscle problem and you don’t normally fix something like that in three days, unless there’s a medical miracle,” Sky expert Lothar Matthäus commented on the injury.

Bayern’s problem: “They are double-teamed everywhere, but not in the striker position,” concluded the 63-year-old.

On Tuesday (8:45 p.m.) Bayern will face double winner Bayer Leverkusen in the round of 16 of the DFB Cup. A loss by Kane would cause pain for the German record champions; the English international has scored 14 goals this season in the league so far.
