Fortnite’s latest concert turned pop stars into kaiju

FortniteThe most recent virtual concert was oversized in several ways. Unlike previous events that focused on specific artists like Ariana Grande or Metallica, this event featured four different artists: Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Ice Spice and the late Juice WRLD. And it transformed every single one of the large cast into kaiju-sized artists while also incorporating deep cuts from Fortnite Background information and a taste of what’s next for the game.

It all started on Snoop Dogg’s compound, which has been the focus of the battle royale map since the beginning of November. From there, a gigantic version of the rapper performed before taking players into space for another song. In fact, the event was constantly moving: next, Eminem battled a giant robot after a dramatic storm, followed by Ice Spice looming over a cityscape like Godzilla. Back on the Battle Royale Island, it ended with a few Juice WRLD songs.

After everything was done, the game was used to premiere Juice WRLD’s new animated music video for “Empty Out Your Pockets”, which is set in it Fortnite:

The concert not only concluded Chapter 2: Remix, but also set up the game’s next main season. It’s called “Hunters” and launches on December 1st with new additions like Godzilla and Baymax as well as an all-new battle royale island. Here is the first trailer:
