GeForce NOW Black Friday Deal halves the price of 3-month premium memberships

Black Friday has also come for NVIDIA’s cloud gaming platform GeForce NOW. This week only, GFN Free Tier users (or even newbies) can upgrade to either Performance or Ultimate memberships for a three-month subscription at half the regular price. This means you’ll pay $4.99 per month for the Performance tier and $9.99 per month for the Ultimate tier, instead of the usual $9.99 and $19.99. As a reminder, the performance level is the renamed priority level, which recently received a resolution upgrade from 1080p to 1440p. However, NVIDIA also announced plans to introduce a 100-hour monthly playtime cap for new customers starting January 1, 2025, while any active paid number starting December 31, 2024 will continue to be able to bypass the cap until January 2026, provided they do so maintain an active subscription.

As part of the Black Friday deals, GeForce NOW members can also redeem a 30% discount at SteelSeries on the purchase of the Stratus+ or Nimbus+ controllers for Android and iOS devices, respectively. Of course, it wouldn’t be a GeForce NOW update without adding some new games to the ever-growing list of over 2K compatible titles. This week, players can enjoy the following games on the NVIDIA cloud:

We released a hands-on preview of the steampunk fantasy cRPG New Arc Line earlier this month after the game debuted in Early Access.

Overall, New Arc Line has a lot of potential and I’m excited to see how the game develops over time. If the hitboxes were fixed and some of the rougher edges were smoothed out, I would most likely spend more time with it. Additionally, combat could use a little tweaking to make the interface a little more readable. However, you can see how much love and effort was put into building the game’s world to create the balance between dystopia and utopia. I’m excited to see how New Arc Line develops during its Early Access journey, which the studio expects to last until the end of 2025.
