No. 1 Kansas hosts undefeated Furman on Saturday at 5 p.m

LAWRENCE, Kan. – No. 1 Kansas (6-0) returns home to host Furman (7-0) on Saturday, November 30 at 5:00 p.m. Central. The game is part of the Vegas Showdown and will be televised on ESPN+. Kansas is vying to reach its 2,400Th All-time win, becoming only the second school to reach 2,400 wins.

No. 26 Kansas earned a 75-72 win over No. 11 Duke in the Vegas Showdown in Las Vegas. Furman defeated Seattle 61-56 in the Vegas Showdown on November 26th.

As of Nov. 28, 23 teams in NCAA Division I are undefeated, including both Kansas and Furman. With 355 DI teams, that’s six percent of DI teams that are still undefeated.

Kansas leads the overall series with Furman 1-0. The Jayhawks defeated the Paladins 101-60 on December 20, 1993 at Allen Fieldhouse.

Kansas is 157-6 (96.3%) among non-conference opponents under Allen Fieldhouse Bill Self. The Jayhawks have won their last 18 non-conference home games starting at No. 7 in 2022.

With its win over No. 11 Duke on Nov. 26, Kansas is 2-0 against ranked teams this season. KU has won at least seven games against ranked opponents in each of the last four seasons and is 129-77 against ranked opponents on the season Bill Self Epoch.


Kansas ranks second in the Big 12 and seventh nationally in both assist-to-turnover ratio (1.95) and assists per game (20.2).

Kansas will play its first true road game of the season at No. 21 Creighton in the Big 12-BIG EAST Battle on Wednesday, December 4th. Tip-off from CHI Health Center Omaha will be at 7:30 p.m. Central and the game will be broadcast on FS1.


Kansas leads the overall series with Creighton 11-6, and the Jayhawks have won the last six meetings. The two teams last met on March 19, 2022 in the second round of the NCAA Tournament in Fort Worth, Texas, a 79-72 victory by KU en route to the 2022 NCAA national title.
