“Our guys found a way to win.”

Georgia football simply finds ways to win. After all, that is the sign of a good football team.

Seriously, think back to all the moments Georgia was on the ropes and came back to win. The Bulldogs’ win at Mizzou in 2022 and Georgia’s win over Kentucky this season come to mind.

And of course, Georgia vs. Georgia Tech on Friday night, with the Bulldogs outlasting the Yellow Jackets despite trailing 17-0 and playing an incredible eight overtimes in the game.

Head coach Kirby Smart met with the media shortly after the wild finish to recap an instant classic. Here’s what he had to say about his boys’ efforts:

“No matter if you have the toughest schedule in the country, probably the toughest schedule in Georgia history, you keep fighting. You keep fighting,” Smart said. “And everyone has a chance at you. These guys played really hard tonight. They had a good game plan. They played well enough to win. I’m talking about Georgia Tech. But our guys found a way to win. And that’s ultimately what it’s all about.”

Georgia now awaits its opponent in the upcoming SEC Championship Game. It will be either Texas or Texas A&M, which will be decided tonight on the field in College Station at 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
