The Buckeyes don’t have to be the only winner this weekend.

On Saturday, Ohio State hosts That Team Up North at the Horseshoe. It’s been 1,826 days since Ohio State beat its archrival, with the team’s last win coming in 2019. That long dry spell will end This weekend in Columbus, the second-ranked Buckeyes face the 6-5 Wolverines.

The prediction

Ohio State has the best wide receiver room in college football. This season, Smith led the way with 52 catches for 899 yards and 10 total touchdowns. His teammates Emeka Egbuka and Carnell Tate aren’t far behind either, with the former collecting 56 catches for 692 yards and nine touchdowns and the latter recording 35 catches for 524 yards and four scores this season.

TTUN has been average in pass defense this year, ranking 65th nationally with 222.3 passing yards allowed per game. Still, the Wolverines have a top-25 overall defense in the country with 21.5 points and 316.3 yards allowed per contest – numbers that rank 26th and 14th in the FBS – meaning Will Howard, Smith, Egbuka and Tate it will be a challenge awaits us this weekend.
