I’ll be honest, I hate having so many subscriptions to different services I relied on – from Amazon to Netflix and so on, it all adds up. That being said, gaming is an expensive hobby as it is, and I can safely say that using Xbox Game Pass not only saves me a ton of money, but it also allows me to indulge in games that I wouldn’t normally even look at because I have the advantage of being “free” (not really free, but you follow!).

Finally, I jumped into the first Call of Duty I’ve played in years because shooters aren’t really my thing, but all my friends played it on Xbox Game Pass. I had a lot of fun with the game and never thought I would enjoy Call of Duty again if I hadn’t had my subscription! I’m still really bad at it, but that’s neither here nor there. The point is that the Xbox Game Pass library is extensive and diverse, and you can access it with the Ultimate tier all of itand then additional perks and exclusive discounts on top of that!

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate has also gotten even better with its newest feature: Xbox Cloud Gaming now includes the “Bring Your Own Games” program. This means you can stream a growing list of your own titles directly from the cloud, no downloads required. More games will be added soon. This saved me money again as I was tempted to buy Balatro on mobile, but now that it’s part of the Cloud Gaming library I already have it on my phone as part of my subscription.

Looking ahead, there is so much to be excited about. Titles like Indiana Jones and The Great Circle are imminent and generating a lot of buzz, and we’ve announced that Obsidian is launching in February. Subscribing now will give you access to these titles, as well as titles like Stalker 2 and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. (which, despite a rocky start, many people enjoy). Yes. You can share Xbox Game Pass with someone else. To do this, you need to log in to your Xbox account. Navigate to Profile & System > Settings > Generally > Personalization. Then close My home Xbox, and choose Make this my home Xbox.

Now anyone on this console can play your games and games with Game Pass subscriptions, but will not have access to Game Pass-specific benefits and Xbox cloud gaming.

When is Black Friday?

Black Friday officially starts on November 29, 2024 so TODAY. However, retailers have been offering deals all week, although we’ll likely see the best deals today and over the weekend.
