Update on Quinn Ewers’ injury status before kickoff

COLLEGE STATION – Texas football quarterback Quinn Ewers was removed from the Longhorns’ final injury report ahead of their game against Texas A&M on Saturday night.

Ewers was listed as probable all week. ESPN’s Pete Thamel reported that Ewers will not be 100% fit for the game, which is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. on ABC.

The Longhorns’ senior quarterback suffered an ankle injury in the second quarter of Texas’ Week 13 win over Kentucky. He played the rest of the game, but coach Steve Sarkisian said he timed his offense in the second half to avoid exposing Ewers.
